Who "was" Jesus

Who was Jesus Christ? Well, "was" is a poor choice of words as He Is. His name is Jesus, and His title is Christ. Christ, as defined in English is the Messiah whose appearance is prophesied in the Old Testament. However, that doesn't answer the question. Jesus answered the question many times. The Gospel of John has numerous examples

I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

John 8:12 KJV

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

John 11:25 KJV

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

John 3:13 KJV

For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

John 6:33-35 KJV

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

John 8:58 KJV

He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

John 12:44-45 KJV

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

John 13:13 KJV

I have overcome the world.

John 16:33 KJV

My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

John 7:16-17 KJV

I and my Father are one.

John 10:30 KJV

he that hath seen me hath seen the Father;

John 14:19 KJV

All things that the Father hath are mine:

John 16:15 KJV

Millions of believers have accepted the words of Jesus to be true. John specifically said the words of Jesus were true.

This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

John 21:24 KJV

The questions is, do you believe? If this is all quite confusing to you, perhaps this will help.

To enter God's kingdom, you must be born again. To do that is very simple. Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross. Believe it and accept it. That's it. You should repent of your prior actions, and I believe you will. You should let others know, and I believe "believers" do that too, but the gift of life only requires belief and acceptance. The gift can't be any freer than that.

There are two groups of people in the world today - those that believe, and those that don't. Those that don't will perish. Those who look to the cross and believe in the One who died for their sins will receive the free gift of God.

The Bible clearly says:

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Romans 3:23 KJV

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out

Acts 3:19

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life

John 3:16

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved

Romans 10:9

The simplicity is astounding.
