I don't think many people understood the depth of what He said. Jesus told His disciples, that they have seen the Father in Him.
Also, in Matthew 12:8, He said

For the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day. Matthew 12:8 KJV |
The Sabbath came from God. If Jesus can overrule the law of the Sabbath, He must be God.
Again in Matthew , these two verses appear:

The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; Matthew 13:41 KJV |

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:31 KJV |
In these two verses, Jesus claims that He will send His angels at the final judgment.
